Chrysler LLC is committed to help keep drivers and passengers safe when riding in motor vehicles.
We employ a twofold safety/security approach: Conventional passive safety features, such as pretensioning and constant-force seat belt retractors and supplemental front and side air bags,* combined with active safety accident-avoidance features, including precise steering, handling and braking.
In addition, a high level of security is offered via a Sentry Key® engine immobilizer. This provides additional in-vehicle theft protection.
Education
To raise awareness of automobile safety/security, we continue to develop research-based education programs.
Road Ready Teens is an innovative, home-based program that provides parents with the tips and tools — in ways teens can relate — to ease their teen into driving. Research shows that when parents take an active role in their teens' driving education and set driving guidelines, their teens' chances of being in an accident can be reduced by up to one-third.
The program is designed to reach both parents and teens on their own terms – teens with a video game and parents with an easy-to-use guide.
Chrysler LLC's SeatCheck program offers a directory of more than 4,000 inspection locations staffed by trained and certified child safety seat technicians. A list of technicians is available toll-free at 1-866- SEAT-CHECK.
